The Steveston Harbour Authority made a presentation to city councillors Monday.
The harbour says it is continuing to work on making Steveston a viable fishing industry hub.
It's recently undergone site improvements and general cleaning, such as installing a new fence, and removing blackberry bushes along the front.
It's currently working with Port Metro Vancouver to create a tidal marsh to the east of the harbour, near Lulu Island.
Executives noted the importance of dredging Steveston Channel.
