A staff member at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Richmond has tested positive for COVID, according to their parent company Loblaw.
Loblaw’s website has reported that a “team member tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. The last day the team member worked was on March 13.”
The store in question is the Shoppers Drug Mart at Blundell Centre at No. 2 and Blundell roads.
Loblaw states on its website that “Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”
The same store had a staff member test positive for COVID back in November.
