An elementary school in SD38 and an independent school in Richmond have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures by Vancouver Coastal Health.

Vancouver Coastal Health is warning of COVID-19 exposures at two schools in Richmond.

According to the health authority, there was an exposure at Lord Byng elementary on March 9 to 11.

Meanwhile, at Saint Joseph the Worker – an independent school – there was an exposure on March 9 to 10 and March 12.

Both of the schools have been listed on the health authority’s online list of school exposures.

An exposure occurs when someone with COVID-19 was present in the school during their infectious period.

Public health officials will directly contact those who need to self-isolate as a result of the exposure, according to VCH. Anyone not contacted does not need to self-isolate.

Other recent exposures at Richmond schools include McMath secondary (March 10 to 12); McKinney elementary (March 8 to 9) and Cambie secondary (March 8 to 9).
