The Rotary Club of Richmond is trying to raise $25,000 to buy six outdoor table tennis tables to benefit the whole community.

A table tennis tournament was held Saturday morning at Bridgeport Sports Club to raise funds to donate the tables to the City of Richmond.

Suna Yee, president of the club, said playing outdoor table tennis is a great way to help everyone stay healthy, active and happy, especially amid the pandemic.

She added that the installation of six tables, costing $4,000 to $5,000 each, could not only benefit but connect many Richmondites and ensure they have equitable access to amenities, services and programs without paying anything.
