Taylor Dianne Robinson plays Gretl von Trapp in The Sound of Music in Richmond for the second straight year, this time at the Gateway Theatre in Richmond.

The eight-year-old from Tsawwassen says she's feeling more comfortable with the part this time.

"I was kind of nervous. It was the first time I'd been on stage with a lot of lines and a big role," she said, talking about her experience last year in the musical.

Taylor, who had the von Trapp role with a Burnaby theatre company last November, will be on a stage closer to home this year.

The Sound of Music runs at Gateway Theatre (gatewaytheatre.com for show times and tickets) in Richmond from Dec. 8 to 31.

Taylor has also been busy with other acting work.

She has a part in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 and got to act with the popular series' three stars, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

"It was really exciting because I'd never done a movie before."

She also had a guest role in The Secret Circle, a new TV series that revolves around teenage witches.

Taylor also recently recorded songs for an English language learning CD.
