A Richmond resident would like to see home demolitions only done between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Kerry Starchuk has written to Richmond mayor and city council saying some demolitions in her neighbourhood have started after 6:30 p.m. and sometimes they're done on the weekend.

Starchuk said she’s spoken to the city’s coordinator of building inspections, but was informed nothing could be done about these demolitions, so she decided to approach council about the matter.

Coun. Carol Day, who sits on the planning committee, replied to Starchuk saying she’d ask for it to be put on Tuesday’s agenda.

The planning meeting takes place Tuesday, June 8 at 4 p.m. and can be watched live.
