Richmond-based Herbaland has been recognized for being one of the 50 fastest-growing women-owned or led companies.
To qualify for the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO) award, applicants must have reached annual revenues of at least $500,000 in each of the past five years.
WPO is a global peer advisory organization, connecting female entrepreneurs who operate multi-million dollar companies.
Herbaland, which makes nutritional gummies, was one of only two Canadian companies to make the list.
"We feel very grateful that the whole team is making it happen," said Aisha Yang, sales and marketing director of Herbaland, adding that the award sent out two powerful messages to Canadian female employees.
"First of all, leaders need to have the vision of inclusivity and build a gender-neutral culture in the company.
"Also, it's important to notice that there are a lot of amazing women who could be outstanding leaders, directors, or company presidents, but they just need some opportunities.”
