Richmond Women’s Resource Centre (RWRC) has launched its annual online auction to fundraise for resources, training and support for women in the community.
RWRC, a primarily volunteer-run group that offers peer support and education for local women, is hosting its seventh annual auction in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The silent auction features items, such as beauty products, kitchen equipment, gift cards, electronics and more.
Elaine Hu, administrative assistant with RWRC, said all auction items were donated by community members, organizations and businesses.
“Since RWRC is a non-profit organization, we rely on donations and funding to provide support and meaningful programs to women in our community,” said Hu.
In addition to the ongoing auction, RWRC also launched a raffle event with the prize being a one roundtrip flight for two guests to any destination. The prize was donated by WestJet.
Funds raised from both events will be used to provide learning opportunities and partnerships for all women in Richmond through RWRC, noted Hu.
The auction will take place until March 15.
