There has been another COVID-19 exposure at MacNeill secondary.

Vancouver Coastal Health posted on its school exposures webpage that an exposure occurred at the school on Feb. 1.

Richmond School District superintendent Scott Robinson told the Richmond COVID-19 Community Task Force on Tuesday, Feb. 2, that to date, there hasn’t been “a single case of transmission in any of (the district’s) schools.”

According to Vancouver Coastal Health, an exposure is when an individual with COVID-19 was present in the school during their infectious period.

The number of exposures in the district’s schools peaked in mid-November 2020 with about 15 possible exposures in one week, Robinson said Tuesday. Last month, however, there were just one to two exposures per week.

MacNeill was also flagged for an exposure last month, on Jan. 20 to Jan. 22. Exposures were also previously reported by VCH at Palmer secondary (Jan. 4 to Jan. 5) and James Whiteside elementary (Jan. 25).
