Richmond golfing star shoots course record at provincials

Richmond golfer Tina Jiang placed third in the 2022 British Columbia Junior Girls’ Championship held at Nk'Mip Canyon Desert in Oliver last week.

Tina, a junior member at Quilchena in west Richmond, also shot an incredible course record 67 en route to her third spot.

As such, she was presented with a special course record plaque.

Tina will now be part of the B.C. team representing the province at the Canadian Junior Girls Championship, which goes July 26-29 at The Marshes Golf Club in Ottawa.

Fellow Quilchena junior player and Richmond resident Elise Liu placed seventh last week.
