Richmond Girl Guide cookies coming soon to your door

And the old favourite - chocolate mint - is on the menu!

There’s good news and bad news on the Girl Guide cookies front.

Good news is that the chocolatey-mint flavour is back – bad news is that many of us are still carrying a little “holiday weight.”

Girl Guides from all over the Lower Mainland, including Richmond, converged in Delta last week at the regional cookie distribution centre.

Stacks and stacks of cookie boxes towered over the girls as they prepared to take away their own stocks for the annual door-to-door sales.

The girls will soon be out and about, selling their cookies to their eager buyers.

Over the coming weeks, the guides’ annual cookie sales will fund the likes of overnight tenting adventures and day camps at Richmond’s Woodward's Landing Girl Guide Camp, sleepovers at Richmond’s Guide House on Blundell road and visits to many local Richmond attractions, hands-on community service projects, and more.

The favourite chocolatey-mint flavour was on a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic - with only classic chocolate/vanilla cookies being baked in Canada since 2021.
