A wide variety of free or low-cost family-friendly activities will be available for Family Day weekend starting this Friday.
To celebrate Family Day, the City of Richmond is offering more than 60 activities throughout the city between Feb. 16 and 19.
Activities range from sports and fitness, visual and performing arts and the annual Richmond Children's Arts Festival, which will take place on Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Richmond Cultural Centre.
Event highlights include movie night at Watermania, pancake breakfasts at Cambie and Steveston Community Centres, family yoga at Minoru Centre for Active Living, curling try-it session at Richmond Curling Club and naturalist talks at Richmond Nature Park.
Community members can register by browsing and registering online, calling 604-276-4300 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday and in-person at any community facility. Debit, cheque and cash are accepted when registering in person.
