Richmond youths who are interested in learning how the local government works are invited to join a city-wide program starting on Sept. 30.
Residents ages 15 to 20 can now register for the Richmond Youth Civic Engagement Program, where youth can experience the decision-making process of local government while meeting other like-minded individuals.
The eight-session program is free and will be held both online and potentially in-person at Richmond City Hall starting.
Registration is limited to 16 people and youth will also be able to present to a mock city council on Thursday, Nov. 25.
