Pomeranian pups stolen

Owner appeals for safe return of $2,000 Mi-Mi and Dar-Dar

Two puppies, worth around $2,000, are thought to have been dog-napped in Richmond on Monday morning.

Around 10: 30 a.m., a champagne-coloured Honda CRV, with five occupants, pulled in front of 10028 Granville Ave., and picked up two Pomeranian puppies from the curb.

Police believe the puppies, called Mi-Mi and Dar-Dar, may have escaped from their yard due to their "diminutive size," before being taken away.

The vehicle was last seen eastbound on Granville Avenue and police searches for the Honda were unsuccessful.

The puppies have not yet been located and checks with the local SPCA and Richmond Animal Protection have proved fruitless.

According to police, the owner is desperate to have the puppies returned and has appealed for anyone with information to contact Const. Julie Hearty at Richmond RCMP on 604278-1212.
