Movers were seen using forks of a forklift to access a stacked shipping container in Richmond.

A moving company was penalized by WorkSafeBC for having an unsafe work environment and failing to cooperate during an inspection.

4 You Moving Services Ltd. received a $7,500 fine in Sept. 2023 after WorkSafeBC saw its workers use a forklift in an unsafe manner while working in a Richmond storage facility.

The workers were using the elevated forks of a forklift to access and load furniture into a shipping container stacked on top of another container.

According to a WorkSafeBC report released recently, a representative of the company refused to cooperate with the inspection when contacted by the regulator.

WorkSafeBC deemed 4 You's failure to ensure workers had a safe way to enter and leave a work area a "high-risk violation" and found the company had "hindered a WorkSafeBC inspection and knowingly provided false information to an officer."
