Low-cost books on sale at Richmond library this weekend

Richmond Public Library's Cambie branch will host a mini used-book sale this weekend.

Friends of the Richmond Library is holding their first mini book sale of the year to raise funds for local libraries this weekend,

On Saturday and Sunday, a variety of gently-used books will be on sale at the Cambie branch of Richmond Public Library at 150-11590 Cambie Road.

Community members are invited to "read to beat the cold" by finding their next adult fiction, children, biography and Chinese book at the sale. All books are priced at low cost and all proceeds will benefit Richmond's public libraries.

Book lovers are asked to bring cash and bags or boxes for their purchases.

For those on the hunt for more used books, Friends of the Richmond Library also has a used book store at 130-11590 Cambie Road. The store also accepts donations of used books in good condition.

The mini sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. For more information on future book sales, visit Friends of the Richmond Library's website.
