World Duty Free Vancouver, a travel retailer that operates inside the Vancouver International Airport, donated over $8,000, which will go towards the new acute care tower at the Richmond Hospital.

The company said giving back to the community is one of their core values and they appreciate the Richmond Hospital for keeping community members healthy.

“I want to thank World Duty Free and their staff for continuing to partner with the foundation and committing to improving the health care in Richmond for generations to come,” said Natalie Meixner, president and CEO of the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

“The new acute care tower is going to enable our health care teams to provide the best in care close to home.”

In addition, World Duty Free is also encouraging their staff to volunteer their time to charitable organizations.
