Community members can now nominate local volunteers for Richmond's annual Volunteers Are Stars Award.
Every year, the award honours individuals and groups who give their time to and have made an impact in the community.
This year, the event is returning in a digital format due to pandemic restrictions.
Volunteers Are Stars -- presented by Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG) -- will take place online this year with volunteers being recognized on social media and RCRG's website.
Awards will be presented in four categories honouring individual volunteers, volunteer groups, youth volunteers and non-profit leaders.
Three finalists in each category will be chosen and invited to celebrate in a virtual ceremony on April 22.
During the ceremony, all the finalists will be recognized for their impact on the Richmond community and the winners, one from each category, will be announced.
"For us, what matters most is honouring Richmond's amazing volunteers," said Ed Gavsie, president and CEO of RCRG.
"We still can't do that in person, but we hope the community will join us digitally to thank volunteers and celebrate their contributions."
Nomination submissions will be accepted until March 12 at www.rcrg.org/vas
