An earlier vehicle crash on Gilbert Road at River Road has since been cleared.
A vehicle crash at the intersection was causing traffic to be backed up just before Dinsmore Bridge in most directions on Wednesday morning.
Richmond Fire-Rescue was on scene and had several lanes blocked, including northbound on Gilbert Road and westbound on River Road.
Traffic on westbound River Parkway and on northbound Gilbert Road were backed up.
