Richmond non-profit are providing gifts for local seniors.

Richmond seniors are being celebrated for their contribution to the local community.

On Nov. 1, Richmond-based Jean Ip Foundation is partnering with local organizations to hand out gifts to seniors ages 65 and older to thank them for everything they have done for the Richmond community.

Gifts such as jasmine rice, medical masks and $25 Save-On-Food gift cards are being handed out inside Lansdowne Centre, near the Langley Farm Market, starting at 11 a.m.

Jean Ip Foundation is hosting this "senior's day" with the Richmond Chinese Community Society, Richmond Centre for Disability and Vancouver Chinatown Lions Club to give out 600 sets of these gifts.

Gifts are on a first come first served basis.
