COVID-19 exposures at 7 Richmond schools

Four SD38 schools and three private schools have been flagged for exposures

More Richmond schools have been flagged for COVID-19 exposures.

Vancouver Coastal Health is warning of COVID-19 exposures at several Richmond schools.

The health authority has added four schools in Richmond School District to its school exposures webpage, as well as three private schools in the city.

There was an exposure at McKay elementary on April 19, according to VCH, and at Gilmore elementary on April 21.

Richmond Secondary was also flagged for exposures, on April 19 to 21 and on April 23, and, at McRoberts secondary, there was an exposure on April 20 to 22.

There were also exposures at three Richmond private schools.

At B.C. Muslim School, there were exposures on April 12, April 15 and April 19 to 20, while St. Joseph the Worker Catholic elementary was flagged for an exposure on April 19.

Meanwhile, there was an exposure at Fawkes Academy on April 15.

An exposure occurs when someone with COVID-19 was in the school during their infectious period, according to VCH.
