Cement truck snags wires, causes traffic jam in East Richmond

A wire and pole was pulled down by a vehicle on Westminster Highway.

Motorists travelling along Westminster Highway in East Richmond should expect delays on Friday evening.

A cement truck travelling westbound on Westminster Highway at No. 7 Road has snagged overhead wires and snapped a wooden pole at the intersection.

The intersection lights are out and crew is on scene directing traffic.

Vehicles going west on Westminster Highway are being detoured onto No. 7 Road northbound. 

Traffic is building up southbound No. 7 Road and westbound Westminster Highway.

Eastbound traffic on Westminster Highway is unaffected.
