19 COVID-19 patients in Richmond Hospital

Across B.C., there were 419 COVID-19 patients in hospital as of Tuesday

The number of patients with COVID-19 at Richmond Hospital has gone up slightly over the past couple of weeks, according to the latest update from Vancouver Coastal Health.

As of March 4, there are 19 patients with the virus at Richmond Hospital, and one patient in the ICU.

That’s up from 18 COVID-19 patients at Richmond Hospital as of Feb. 22, and 16 patients as of Feb. 15, none of whom were in intensive care.

Across the province, the number of patients in hospital is continuing to decline.

On Tuesday, health officials reported 419 COVID-19 patients in B.C. hospitals — 30 fewer patients than the 449 reported on Monday — including 63 in intensive care.

Also as of Tuesday, 90.7 per cent of people aged five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 86.5 per cent have received two doses.

Around 2.6 million people in B.C. have received a booster dose.
