Oxfam host Richmond evening of entertainment

The Oxfam Richmond Local Committee presents a Taste of Songs, Music and Stories from Around the World on Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at South Arm United Church.

One of Saturday night's acts, Patti MacGregor, an award winning West Coast entertainer who has toured Western Canada as a professional singer, comedienne, playing guitar and keyboards for over thirty years.

The Oxfam Richmond Local Committee presents a Taste of Songs, Music and Stories from Around the World on Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. at South Arm United Church.

A group of committeed and long-standing members and volunteers of Oxfam Canada are hosting the variety show, with marimba tunes from Guatemala to a flair of country and blues music, as well as Celtic Canadian.

The event will take place at South Arm United Church Hall, 11051 No 3 Road in Steveston.

Admission to the event is $20 for adults, students and seniors $15 and children under 7 are free. Funds collected from this event will support not only Oxfam’s emergency work in places like Syria and Yemen but also will help community organizations in their figthing against poverty.
