"Terrier-Yaki" by Jani Kiu, 2025, is featured at the Aberdeen Canada Line Station until the end of the year.

Finn Slough, family life and Richmond’s food and drink scene are some of the highlights of recently installed artwork along No. 3 Road.

As part of the Art Columns program, the city has installed artwork from three Richmond artists at art columns at the Aberdeen and Lansdowne Canada Line stations.

Richmond’s Jani Kiu, Marina Szijarto and Monique Zhang will have their work featured until Jan. 31 in the large, backlit display cases at the base of three concrete support columns at the stations.

Kiu’s mixed-media digital illustrations at Aberdeen Station are a playful take on Richmond’s vibrant food culture.

Puns, cute animals and beloved dishes combine to highlight Richmond’s love of good food and drink.

Szijarto’s Intertidal Stilt Dance at Lansdowne Station features Richmond’s historic Finn Slough through the depiction of handcrafted stilt houses that honour lives shaped by tides, time and resourcefulness.

Zhang’s Blue Cocoon paintings, also at Lansdowne Station, capture early-morning moments among family members that celebrate love, care and connection in the quiet rhythm of daily life.

The No. 3 Road Art Columns Program was launched in 2010 in partnership with the Appia Group of Companies and InTransit BC.

This is the second exhibition this year that highlights Richmond’s local culture, history and natural heritage.

The next exhibition will run from Feb. 1 to July 31, 2026 and will be presented in partnership with the Richmond Arts Coalition’s upcoming ARTRich exhibition at the Richmond Art Gallery.
