Hong Kong singer and actor Jonathan Wong was among the cast filming for the vertical series Rags 2 Richmond in 2024.

Producers of a Richmond-focused musical dramedy are looking for dancers as they plan to turn the series of vertical shorts into a feature film.

Octagon Metatainment's Rags 2 Richmond was released in November and featured 30 digital short episodes on several media platforms, revolving around the worlds of entertainment and pageantry.

The story followed Nathan Song, a struggling R&B singer-songwriter, and his best friend Lando Wu, who share a dream of revolutionizing the music scene with their unique style, ChiDM (China Dope Music).

Octagon Entertainment made a worldwide casting call with their announcement on social media that the series will be made into a feature film.

Dancers with all levels of experience are invited to the audition, which will be hosted by Imagine One.

Applicants must be 18 years and older. Comment "shoot your shot" on Rags 2 Richmond's Instagram post here to receive more information and a sign-up link.

A headshot, resume and dance reel will be needed for the application, with a deadline of Tuesday, Aug. 26.

In the meantime, actors and singers of all levels are encouraged to keep an eye on the social media account for more casting details.
