Wednesday, May 23: Understanding Customers/Approaching Galleries; and Monday, May 28: Harnessing the Web. All events take place at the Richmond Cultural Centre, 7700 Minoru Gate. The Children's Organ Transplant Society invites all golfers to its Classic Golf Tournament, benefiting its foundation and the Starlight Children's Foundation, on Thursday, May 24 at the Quilchena Golf and Country Club. Phoenix Perennials presents a Charity Shopping Weekend to benefit the Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS) and the Richmond Animal Shelter on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday May 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their nursery, 3380 No. 6 Rd. The City of Richmond hosts its annual Engineering and Public Works Open House on Saturday, May 26. Stick your hands into wet cement, play in the largest sandbox you'll ever see and enjoy lots of other fun activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the City Operations Yard, 5599 Lynas Lane. Purchase delicious hot dogs and other food. There will also be a portable water station for water bottles.
