Have your say in deciding next year’s Canada 150 themed Richmond street banners.

The City of Richmond’s 24th annual Street Banner Contest closed on Friday, Sept. 30, after receiving almost 300 submissions, and now the city is looking to the public to vote, by Oct. 19, for their favourite street banner designs that could beautify the city in 2017, just like the 2016 winners, pictured above.

The community is invited to view this year’s submissions on the city’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/CityofRichmondBC until Wednesday, Oct. 19 and vote by ‘liking’ their favourite designs.

The two contest entries that receive the most ‘likes’ will be considered by a panel of community judges to be turned into street banners.

After the online voting is complete, the volunteer panel will choose 10 winning designs.
