Resilient Streets (Cambie neighbourhood)

Residents of the Cambie neighbourhood – you are invited! Join us for fun activities and get to know your neighbours. Learn how to apply for money through the Resilient Streets program to do a project or social event with your neighbours. Free refreshments, prize draw, photobooth and more. Family friendly. Doors Open Richmond

The 11th installment of Doors Open Richmond is a free weekend-long, city-wide public celebration of heritage, culture and the arts held on June 2 and 3. This year, 40 sites with an eclectic and exciting blend of destinations will open their doors and offer culturally rich and inclusive experiences for free. These destinations include heritage sites, museums, places of worship, green spaces, specialty business, art galleries and artist studios. Walk Richmond at the Britannia Shipyards/Doors Open

Explore the historic Britannia Shipyards and walk along the Fraser River to London Heritage Farm as part of Richmond’s Doors Open event. Meeting spot: Britannia Shipyards, 5180 Westwater Drive.

13th Annual Richmond-Vancouver Walk for ALS

Volunteers, families and friends are gathering once again to raise funds and awareness for people living with ALS. The Walk for ALS is the ALS nationwide signature event to raise awareness and funds for patient services, and ALS research. Among the 15 WALKs happening this year, the Richmond-Vancouver walk will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Garry Point Park in Steveston. Registration will be at 9:00 am, and the walk will start at 10:30 am.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away: Celebrating the Music of John Williams

Be swept across the magical solar system of sounds; far, far away into the galaxy of John Williams’ music with the Richmond Orchestra & Chorus! Come in costume, meet intergalactic visitors, have some fun in the photo booths and enter your costume for a chance to win a $500 prize package for “Best Intergalactic Costume” that includes goodies from Fuggles & Warlock Craftworks, Lansdowne Centre, Village Bikes, Pizza Factory Richmond and Buckets Ice Cream. 40th Anniversary of Ultra Rhythmics Club

Come enjoy a showcase of team routines at the Ultra Rhythmics Club’s Gymnaestrada 40th anniversary celebration! Rhythmic gymnastics combines elements of gymnastics with dance and the club celebrates health and wellness by being physically active, socially connected and making lifelong friends.
