Richmond Potters Club is hosting its annual spring sale with also featuring handmade pieces by the Richmond Weavers and Spinners Guild. BrickCan Lego exhibition at the River Rock Casino

On April 21-22, the River Rock Casino Resort will host the third annual BrickCan exhibition. In addition to the many creation on display, attendees can shop at a wide variety of vendors selling Lego-themed books, clothing, jewelry, and artwork as well as rare Lego sets and pieces. Before and after viewing times everyone with tickets is invited to the creation station that features lots of interesting building opportunities for all ages. Entry is $15. Free tax clinic at Richmond Public Library (Brighouse Branch)

With the tax season officially open, the Richmond Public Library and Family Christian Fellowship are offering free income tax clinics for low income families. To qualify for this free service, individuals must have a maximum income of $30,000 and a couple must have a maximum income of $40,000 plus $2,500 per child. Sessions are 45 minutes per person and couples must sign up for one time slot each. To register, call 604-231-6413 or visit the Brighouse Branch.

Richmond Orchestra and Chorus spring concert at South Arm United Church

Check out Richmond Orchestra’s spring concert with flautist, Bernard Blary performing Jacques Ibert's Flute Concerto (1934) - a work full of brilliantly ornate passages and lively movement yet sweet and gentle in character. Drawn from the music of Georges Bizet's 1875 opera Carmen, they will perform the lasting melodies and graceful elegance of orchestral music from the Carmen Suites. Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21 completes this evening of beautifully orchestrated music. Hummingbirds return to Richmond Nature Park

The hummingbirds are back! Celebrate their homecoming at the Richmond Nature Park. A naturalist will share amazing facts about these creatures, show how to identify different species and explain how to attract them to your garden. Admission is free but donations are welcome. All proceeds support the Richmond Nature Park Society’s environmental education programs. This event is suitable for all ages and is located at 11851 Westminster Hwy, near No. 5 Road.
