A new pedestrian bridge along the West Dyke Trail is being installed on Monday in Richmond.

Trail users will not able to access the West Dyke Trail bridge on Jan. 16 as it will be temporarily closed for the installment.

Community members will need to detour to Springmont Drive, between Williams Road and Steveston Highway, to get to the trail.

The new bridge will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

This is part of Richmond's bridge rehabilitation program with includes installing barriers, railings and signage for multiple bridges that require repairs or replacement in the city.
