1. Holiday Delight Family Concert: Saturday, Nov. 19:
Charlotte Diamond is back for her free, annual Christmas performance at Lansdowne Centre on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. in the kiosk court in the southwest section of the mall. This is Diamond’s 22nd annual Holiday Delight Family Concert that draws fans of the much-loved children’s entertainer from a variety of generations. She will be performing with her adult son, Matt, plus her bass player, Lee Oliphant.
2. Stuff the Squad Car: Saturday, Nov. 19:
Kick off your Christmas giving Saturday at Ironwood Mall (11666 Steveston Hwy.) from 8 a.m. – noon by donating a new, unwrapped toy to the Richmond Christmas Fund during the second annual Stuff the Squad Car event. All donations will be crammed into the cruiser and, in return, donors will receive a hearty pancake breakfast.
3.Music for Africa: Saturday, Nov. 19:
The Richmond Gogos will be hosting the Universal Gospel Choir of Vancouver featuring a concert of Music for Africa along with a Christmas Marketplace, craft sale, and a coffee bar with home-baked treats Nov. 19 from 1:30 p.m. at the Peace Mennonite Church (11571 Daniels Rd.)., on Daniels Road. The concert begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $10 for children and are available from Jane Anderson (604-275-3460) or at the door. The event benefits grandmothers in Africa.
