Walk Richmond

Date: Saturday, Aug. 5

Time: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Place: Minoru Track, 7191 Granville Ave.

Explore Minoru Park, the green heart of Richmond’s City Centre. The walk begins and ends on the Clement Track before making its way into the Minoru Lakes area to the north. Meeting spot: In front of the grand stand on Minoru Track.

This event is free and for all ages. Disability access is available.

 Britannia’s Maritime Heritage Tours, Stories and Demonstrations

Date: Every day until Saturday, Sept. 30

Time: 15-minute tours starting at: 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m.

Place: Britannia Shipyards, 5180 Westwater Dr.

The tour is free, for all ages and showcases Richmond’s maritime and multicultural heritage in an eight-acre waterfront park. Visit the oldest shipyard community in B.C. and discover the area’s industrial heritage and the stories of the people who once called this place home.

Place: Cambie Community Centre (King George Park), 4100 No. 5 Road
