The third annual Pride Walk takes place this Saturday in Steveston.
Richmond-Steveston MLA Kelly Greene organized the first Pride Walk in Richmond in 2023, and the tradition continues this weekend.
The walk begins Saturday, July 26 at 11 a.m. at Bayview Street and No. 1 Road across from Starbucks and continues along the waterfront.
Participants are encouraged to come at 10:30 a.m. to the starting point where there will be booths, a selfie station, facepainting and music.
The walk is about one kilometre in length and is an accessible route.
The Pride Walk is a family-friendly event and organizers are calling on dog guardians to dress up their pets.
The City of Richmond is also holding multiple Pride events this month, including film screenings, fitness and swim sessions, Drag Queen Story Time and Drag Queen Karaoke as well as talks with 2SLGBTQI+ community leaders.
