The deadline to apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant is April 18.

Richmond's Neighbourhood Celebration Grant Program is for community groups to create events.

$500 grants are available for community members for projects and events that connect neighbours.

This is the 11th year the Neighbourhood Small Grants are being offered in Richmond, administered by Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG).

“Your project should be fun, creative, and inclusive, with the aim of sharing skills, bridging cultural divides, or fostering a sense of social belonging,” RCRG posted about the grants. “Within those parameters, you can let your imagination run free!”

Up to $350 can be used for an honorarium for someone who contributes either skills or knowledge to the event, including the applicant.

However, the grant can’t be used to fundraise for other projects or organizations and applicants can only apply for one neighbourhood small grant.

The deadline for applications is April 18.

The Neighbourhood Small Grants are offered in partnership with the Vancouver Foundation and the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC.
