Richmond Public Library is gearing up to host its 11th Science Bash next month.

This year, the annual event will run on Nov. 23 in partnership between the library and local science-based organizations in an effort to celebrate and promote science and technology. Partner organizations include STEM Aces Education, the Richmond Nature Park, Robokids and many more.

"We are excited to see that RPL has evolved into a natural place to support STEM in our community,” said Jason Zhang, founder of Robokids Richmond in a press release.

“We are very happy to be able to contribute," he added.

The library says the goal of the event is to “encourage families to explore and learn about the different branches of science and technology and speak with professionals about possible careers and areas of interest.”

Events include hands-on science demonstrations and illusions to create an enriched learning atmosphere.

Friday, Nov. 23 is a district-wide professional development day. Events run from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Brighouse Branch.
