Richmond’s seniors are showing of their talent this Sunday at the annual Canada Day Seniors Got Talent contest.
Hosted by Angels There For You Home and Health Care Services, the talent contest is in its fifth year and highlights seniors who love to dance, sing, play instruments or showcase other creative talent.
“I have met awesome seniors who served this community for many years and were remembered no more, but now have a chance to shine once again,” said Angels There For You managing director, Patricia Cruz.
“It is a privilege to celebrate their lives by giving them a platform to share their talents publicly on stage.”
Contest participants will have the chance to win a prize and judges of the competition include Richmond-Steveston MLA John Yap and founder and executive director of the Community Mental Wellness Association of Canada, Ahlay Chin.
Clients, families and community members are all invited to the event, running from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Angels There for You office (12031 2nd Ave.).
