Richmond Centre’s White Spot raised and donated $10,288 through their annual Christmas luncheon to support the Richmond Hospital this past year.

Since 2001, the Richmond restaurant’s luncheon event donates 100 per cent of the its proceeds and gratuities on Christmas Day to the hospital every year.

Due to the COVID-19 government health restrictions, White Spot’s team took to a take-out approach without having to cancel the annual tradition this year.

“Our take-out menu on Christmas Day was amazing and the execution was great,” said Leo Canapi, general manager at White Spot inside Richmond Centre, adding that 73 orders were fulfilled three days prior to Dec. 25, 2020.

“Our staff volunteer their time for our Christmas Day even and they definitely enjoyed the day. It was amazing for us to continue our tradition and see the community come together to help support local health care.”

Natalie Meixner, president and CEO of the Richmond Hospital Foundation, said White Spot Richmond Centre has been a long standing partner of the foundation.

“The team has been committed to impacting and transforming health care in Richmond and we are grateful for their ongoing dedication to the community of Richmond.”
