Richmond elementary students raise funds for stricken alumnus

Adam Mogg was rendered a quadriplegic after a serious accident two years ago

Students at the former elementary school of a young Richmond man badly injured in a car crash held a rally to raise funds for special driving lessons.

Spul’u’kwuks Elementary’s Grade 6/7 teacher Susan Shackles told the Richmond News how the students organized a “Rally for Adam,” to help 21-year-old Adam Mogg, who was rendered a quadriplegic after a serious car accident two years ago.

Hearing that Adam needed to have special driving lessons for his newly-equipped van, the school set the goal of raising $2,500.

However, after two weeks of their efforts – which included making and selling scrunchies – the students managed to raise an impressive $3,500.
