Meanwhile, the parking lot at Home Depot on Sweden Way was inundated with water on Tuesday morning.

Today's weather... 

We're in for some cooler weather over the next few days and possible showers.

The temperature today is expected to range between 13 C and 18 C in Richmond City Centre with an 80-per-cent chance of showers, according to Weatherhood.

Fun fact about Richmond...

Do you remember the federal riding of Burnaby-Richmond-Delta?

The riding of Burnaby-Richmond-Delta was called "Canada's largest riding" in the local papers in 1974. This massive riding had 81,000 registered voters heading into a federal election. 

The voter turnout in the 1974 election was 81 per cent in Burnaby-Richmond-Delta, and the winner was Progressive Conservative incumbent MP John Reynolds. In the rest of the country, the Liberals swept to power, going from a minority government to a majority government, with Pierre Elliot Trudeau returning as the prime minister of Canada for a third term.
