Relive Olympic experience

If you have historically relevant video footage of elite sporting heroes from Richmond then the city needs you.

If you have historically relevant video footage of elite sporting heroes from Richmond then the city needs you.

The public is needed as the Richmond Olympic Oval is gathering audiovisual materials to help tell the story of the "History of Sport in Richmond."

For the opening of the Richmond Olympic Experience (ROE) in late 2014 - in which the history of sport in Richmond will be featured - the public is invited to share historically relevant audio-visual footage that showcases Richmond's elite sporting heroes celebrating their achievement in sport.

The ROE at the oval, according to the city, will be an "interactive and dynamic visitor

experience offering an inspiring journey celebrating the Olympic Spirit."

It's hoped the exhibit will also evoke memories of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and Richmond's role as an Olympic Venue City.

The ROE will feature three floors of gallery space and include displays, interactive media, and hands-on sporting simulations.

If interested in sharing your audio-visual footage, contact Jennifer Luce at 778-296-1422 or email [email protected] before Friday, Feb. 21. For more details about the ROE, visit www.richmondolympicexperience.ca or like their Facebook page at ww.facebook.com/RmdOlympicExp.
