The Vancouver Diamond Lions Club has fundraised and donated $20,503 to benefit the Richmond Hospital's lab, COVID-19 response fund and the new Yurkovich Family Pavilion.

The Diamond Lions Club has led multiple fundraising events such as an online music concert, face mask sale and take-out dinners since October 2020.

“At Vancouver Diamond Lions Club, our members proudly standby the fundamentals of ‘lionism’ and live our motto ‘we serve’,” said Jackie Lee, president of Vancouver Diamond Lions Club President.

“Helping fund necessary equipment and technology will transform the quality of our lives. As stated by our International President, ‘the world needs us now more than ever’ and we know that supporting Richmond Hospital Foundation is one of the steps towards building a brighter future for our community.”

Natalie Meixner, president and CEO of the Richmond Hospitial Foundation's Surgical Restart campaign, said they are touched by the Vancouver Diamond Lions Club's dedication to fundraise for the campaign.

“Because of their donation, we will be able to provide our surgeons with both innovative and necessary tools to care for those who need it the most," said Meixner.
