Richmond-Steveston MLA John Yap recently presented a community gaming grant to the Institute of Applied Design & Technology Education Society.

Yap presented a $13,000 cheque to Roland Tecson, founder of Game of Apps (GOA), along with McMath secondary students, who are in the GOA program and McMath’s principal, vice-principal and technology teacher.

Tecson said the donation will help him to continue to offer the program to “many deserving high school students in the province.”

Game of Apps guides high school students through the whole process of building apps from beginning to end.
