Richmond Olympic Park Run organizers will be celebrating the event’s second birthday this Saturday morning with their annual Halloween Run.
Costumes are encouraged for the free, weekly 5K run along the Middle Arm Dyke Trail that sets off at 9 a.m.
Event sponsor Saucony is also coming down to help Richmond Olympic Park Run to celebrate with prizes and run volunteers are providing cake for a post-run snack as well.
The run, which attracts around 50-60 participants every week, goes every Saturday at 9 a.m. and is open to runners, joggers, walkers, pet owners and strollers.
And don't worry, if you prefer to go slow, the event has its own tail-walker, to make sure no one is left behind.
There’s no need to pre-register, unless you want to be officially timed, in which case, go online to ParkRun.ca/register to get a barcode, which can be scanned at the event.
Free park runs take place across the world and run solely by volunteers.
