With 30 acres of urban park, there’s plenty of room to stretch your legs during Saturday’s Walk Richmond event at King George Park. From 10 – 11 a.m., explore the many amenities offered, including a water play area and community gardens in east Richmond. 2. Chinese Calligraphy Couplets: Saturday Feb. 4:

Want to see and learn more about Chinese calligraphy? Parker Place Mall (4380 No. 3 Road) is the place to be Saturday, from 2 – 4 p.m. as a calligraphy writer will be on site writing Chinese calligraphy couplets to everyone for free. Everyone is also welcome to write your own couplets for yours to keep. The mall will also be giving away cute Chinese couplets for free while quantities last, so don’t miss it!

3. Fortune Telling: Saturday Feb. 4:

Get a glimpse of your future on Saturday, Feb. 4 when Master Sherman Tai performs Charity Fortune Telling at the River Rock Casino Resort (8811 River Road) from 9:30 p.m. onwards. Tai’s reputation as a fortune teller and feng shui master is well established in Vancouver, as well as in Hong Kong. He was the first Chinese geomancer hired by the City of Richmond City who employed his services in feng shiu analysis in connection with the construction of the new city hall. Minimum donation of $20 will support BC Children’s Hospital, a facility Tai said he has supported with his readings for the past 20 years.
