The third annual Family Fun Day event is set to pull in hundreds of people, young and old, at Cambie Community Centre on Monday, Feb. 8.
And there will be a whole host of activities during the three-hour event, organized to give families a place to go on the newest of B.C.’s statutory holidays.
The Family Fun Day will include a musical performance by the popular Mrs. Lori, as well as a variety of sports, children’s and youth programs, face painting, free fitness centre drop-in and other activities.
Hosted by the East Richmond Community Association and supported by the provincial government, the City of Richmond and other community businesses, the free event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We look forward to welcoming all families — children, youth, mums, dads, grandparents, aunties and uncles — to what promises to be a great day at Cambie Community Centre,” said Balwant Sanghera, president of the East Richmond Community Association.
“Our past Family Day events have been a huge success; the feedback we received from families was fantastic and we are proud to be hosting this event again.”
