Are you a parent with a teenager?

Would you like to better understand what your teen is going through as he/she matures into adolescence?

If so, plan on attending a free workshop called Making Sense of Adolescence at the Brighouse Branch of Richmond Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 13 from 7-9 p.m. in the performance hall, located at 7700 Minoru Gate.

The guest speaker will be Dr. Deborah MacNamara, a clinical counselor in private practice, and a faculty member in the Neufeld Institute as well as at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in the Department of Educational Studies. MacNamara's talk is meant to help parents understand the maturing dynamics occurring for the adolescent and how to help them through that journey.

MacNamara is a counsellor and educator in private practice with more than 15 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults in mental health and educational settings. She has been published in parenting magazines and newsletters across Canada.

To register, visit any branch of Richmond Public Library, call 604-231-6413 or register online at www.yourlibrary.ca/whatson.cfm.
