The final list of movies that will be playing in August at a Richmond mall has been announced.
Lansdowne Centre asked community members to vote for four movies they would like to see every Thursday from Aug. 7 to 28 for its Indoor Summer Nights: Dinner and Movie event.
The free, family event will take place inside Lansdowne's atrium, next to the food court, and will be shown on an LED screen.
Voters have chosen the following lineup of movies:
- Aug. 7 - Blockbuster Night: Top Gun
- Aug. 14 - Family Night: The Wild Robot
- Aug. 21 - Date Night: High School Musical
- Aug. 28 - Nostalgia Night: Pirates of the Caribbean
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis with movies starting at 7 p.m.
Fifteen food vendors inside Lansdowne will be offering their regular menu as well as movie night specials.
St. John Ambulance is also holding a popcorn sale. Donations will support its youth program in providing training in leadership, first aid, and personal development.
“We are very excited to bring this free event back to Lansdowne Centre," said Bronwyn Bailey, marketing manager at Lansdowne Centre.
"People can come for dinner and stay for a movie or come for a movie and stay for dinner, whichever they would prefer."
The mall's north entrance next to Earl's, and east entrance, next to Happy Lamb Hot Pot, will remain open for movie nights.
