Newly added benches along the wooden boardwalk add a welcome splash of colour to the Steveston harbourside.
The benches are well used by people who bring their snacks or buy a pizza or other lunch, or sit down to enjoy the changing views of a working harbour, complete with fish boats and a whale watching centre.
Visitors are overheard commenting that they would like their community to follow this brilliant example.
The colourful benches are the result of a collaboration between the Steveston Harbour Authority and Tourism Richmond.
