Richmond's newest community police station has opened, right in the heart of the city centre.
Lock Out Auto Crime, Speed Watch, Block Watch and Pedestrian Safety are just a few of the crime prevention programs being administered at the new City Centre Community Police Station on No. 3 and Lansdowne roads.
"The location of this station is ideal," said Supt. Rendall Nesset, of Richmond RCMP.
"It ensures we have a strong, highly visible police presence in our city centre while also providing a centralized, convenient work space that supports a variety of important community policing crime prevention initiatives."
The new station will host a series of drop-in information sessions from Sept. 17 and 21. Each day will focus on a different crime prevention program.
